Monitor Your Heart and Manage Your Health
If you’re concerned about your heart’s health, it’s likely that you have looked at cholesterol, blood pressure, and triglycerides but may have overlooked heart rate variability which is one of the most important measures of heart health.Put simply; it’s the variation in time between each heartbeat. HRV is controlled by the autonomic nervous system (ANS) and functions at a subconscious level and, because it’s controlled by the ANS, it can be useful in making diagnostic and prognostic determinations with can then be used to decide on treatment methods.
HRV is affected by pathological, physiological, non-modifiable factors, modifiable lifestyle factors and other factors:
✓ Pathological factors are those impacted by disease and infection
✓ Physiological factors include breathing, sleep patterns and posture
✓ Non-modifiable factors look at age, gender and genetics
✓ Lifestyle factors include physical activity and smoking
✓ Other factors that have an impact include medications and pollution
What is Heart Rate Variability?
HRV evaluates the balance between your sympathetic nervous system (fight and flight) and your parasympathetic nervous system (rest and digest). An imbalance in your HRV is the top risk factor for sudden cardiac death and an important indicator for your cardiovascular health and general well-being. HRV testing is done as a predictive indicator of your fitness, stress levels, level of health risk, chronic disease condition, cardiac condition and more. With HRV training, you can benefit from enhanced health and wellness, an improved attention span and the ability to concentrate and well as an improvement in your short-term memory.
The Benefits of HRV for Your Health
HRV is based on medical research backed by a number of peer-reviewed, published studies that point to the clear benefits of HRV treatments. Developed by Scientists and Doctors The methodology and technical software and hardware have been developed over many years by doctors and scientists working together to develop a unique tool for preventative healthcare.
Quick and Reliable
The testing process is quick, and you can get immediate results and insights into your health. The process is also completely non-invasive.
HRV detects arteriosclerosis (a hardening of the arteries), loss of arterial elasticity, your blood circulation, disturbances in small blood vessels, and the relative (or biological age) of blood vessels. The test will also assess cardiovascular health, the progression of disease, as well as the effects of medication, lifestyle and diet changes and therapies.
Your HRV Treatment
Your autonomic nervous system functions largely subconsciously, governing your heart rate, digestion, urination, pupillary response and respiratory rate. To test how your system is functioning, we will test your Heart Rate Variability by attaching a sensor to your chest area to record your heartbeat. Your heart rate will be tested lying down and while standing. The results will then be plotted on a graph to look at your sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems. Decrease variability, or very little variability, is a common risk factor for almost all chronic diseases irrespective of age.

The Stories of Success
“Deserves more than 5 stars – After being a patient now for a couple months and wondering why I was so ill for most of my life with no leads or responses from other doctors, Dr. Radoff made sure to do extensive research to figure out the problem. For the first time I feel like I have finally found a doctor that actually goes out of his way to figure out the underlying issue rather than randomly prescribing meds. Thank you.”
“Dr. Radoff has been an excellent medical provider for myself and my mother. He takes the time to listen to all my concerns; he never rushes me out of the office. He is very knowledgeable and reviews my medical records with the utmost care.”
“I took my 85 year old Mom in to see Dr Radoff for a health issue. The doctor was very thorough, but made my Mom feel comfortable and was very patience when he needed to explain or repeat something.”
“Dr Radoff is a fantastic doctor. I’ve read some of the negative reviews, and they are laughable. He is an MD & an MD(H), and while he addresses medical issues from a homeopathic perspective, he never leaves out traditional western medical assessments and treatments.
“Dr. Radoff and his staff are absolutely wonderful. Everyone is very attentive and caring. Dr. Radoff was very helpful and listened to my every worry and concern. It is obvious that he truly cares about the well being of all of his patients. I would highly recommend him to anyone.”
“I have been with him for almost 20 years. I find him to be very on top of the new and old medications and diseases. He is a very thorough doctor and will refer when it is out of his realm of expertise.”
